Life’s struggles can sometimes feel just too much to bear alone. Waking up, feeling o.k. for a few minutes then remembering the pain...has that happened to you? Loss can be very hard to deal with.
It doesn’t have to be that way. With my help, you can find your way back to peace again. In time, something better.
As an Integrative Counsellor, I blend therapeutic techniques to find what works for you. Although the past affects the present, I believe that you are the expert in your life and together we work towards helping you change and grow. My practices in Kings Langley and Watford are safe spaces for you to share your troubles. I also offer an online service thus avoiding traffic and extra stress.
My clinical experience is diverse; I have helped people recover from depression, anxiety, phobias, and many other mental health conditions.
As I travel through my 50's I realise what a colourful life I have led so far! I have been a teacher for many, many years and tutor privately.
Art is one of my passions, and I encourage my clients to explore their creative side within our sessions. Creativity can be an excellent means of expressing our unconscious. It's a great hobby too! No pressure here, if the thought of picking up a brush leaves you cold, that is also fine! I also encourage my clients to explore writing therapy if they feel able to.
It takes a commitment to change - we work as a team to help you make the changes that you want in your life. Weekly sessions enable you to work in a safe space, to reflect and to process what we discuss.
I am a member of the NCPS and work to their code of ethics.
Please ensure your email is typed correctly and include a telephone number.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counselling I am able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and the joy that you once had in your life.
Sometimes the past still affects the present. I can help you tell your story and rewrite the next chapters.
The analogy I give is of a plant; we can trim back the leaves (short term strategies) or pull it up by the roots (long term).
A safe, non-judgmental space where you feel listened to and heard is the starting point.
I work remotely and 'live' at my clinic in Watford/Kings Langley.
